mature male balding?

So I am seeing the same problem with my veracruz redrump male. He hasn't been eating and is constantly wandering but because of his decreased appetite, I have not interacted with him as much and have always removed the food after about an hour and he has not kicked hairs at me but every day he has a few mm less hair from the back to the front. He has made a rough total of 19-22 sperm webs back to back in the last 8 months and never lost hair until he stopped making them over 2 months ago. He never stops wandering around save for a few hours he spends in his burrow. Can someone please help me figure out what is happening that I am not watching to notice?

It's just a mature male, past his breeding prime and winding down towards the end of life....there is no mystery here, you are not missing anything.
