well, here he is....
I posted a thread on his molting, but thought I'd take some goodbye pics today, as he's going to Lycanthrope's house to meet his new girlfriend!
He STILL has an attitude, and gave me a nice threat posture as his goodbye photo!

Wow, he's gorgeous! Definitely another underrated species... I can get a sling for $5. I think I'm going to go for it. :D

I forgot to mention that he was our very first T purchase, in September of '01.
Not knowing what the heck we were doing, we purchased him from Petco.
He was being kept on pine bark substrate, with no water dish.
He almost died, whether from the substrate, or a molt 6 days after we brought him home, I'm not sure. Somehow, after 28 hours, he emerged from a molt, minus a palp.
He is our special boy, and the fact that he is going to someone that works at a Petco, is actually quite amusing IMO!
We know that Rick will take good care of him, and hopefully we'll have many little baby Zia's at some point in the future! :)

It is great that he will be able to fulfill his purpose in life and that his bloodline will continue.

i've got a a.seemani that looks like that he went from a light color to pitch black like some really light red hairs is this a mature male or a small female?

well...if it's a mature male, he'll have the tibial hooks and his palps will be like little boxing gloves.
IME...when males mature, they really go through a change in appearance. Mine is almost jet black now, w/o the leg striping he had before he was mature.
He's got colorful highlights in his hairs as well.

HE'S PURPLE!!! Awesome! I JUST found out mine is a male, but he's not mature yet... probably one more molt. I'm looking for just the right girl for him right now... think I found her at my local petshop! She's BIG, she's BLACK and she's BEAUTIFUL! (CB of course, I'm getting nervous about WCs!!)

Good luck with him, hope you have lots and lots of seemani babies!
