Hey so I’m suddenly in a situation where I need to take in a mascara bird eater. I was only given like 12 hours so any tips and tricks, and requirements for this spider would be greatly appreciated!

-tank requirement
-humidity/substrate requirement
-food requirement

note. I have a pink toe so I have experience with tarantulas, just not this new one that I had no time to prepare for

Tips- give it a cage, water, sub and a hide

I own 2 Mascara's.

They get large very fast. Very easy to care for. They are bottomless pits like all Pamphobeteus. Not as moisture dependent as others in the genus, but you still want to provide some.

How large are they?

You forgot the biggest detail with this question, what size is the T?

Same as every other terrestrial

No t has humidity requirements....some need damp sub, but thats it.....Pamphs doo fine dry, or on damp sub.......there is no t on the planet that has substrate requirements....any acceptable sub, or mixture of them, can be used for any t...

-food requirement

same as any t

Just a simple terrestrial set up, in an enclosure appropriately sized for the t in question....make sure that the distance to the top doesnt create a fall risk....if its too tall, add more sub.

Kind if a bummer someone dumps a tarantula on you without an enclosure.

as others have stated, you now know where to start. Its a new world so its not like someone dropped a murinus on you.

avics have specific needs. If you can handle that, then this tarantula should be no issue. Just make sure enclosure fits size and substrate levels are adequate.
