Hello!
About 3 years ago, my sister purchased a mature male B. albopilosum. (We were told he was 3 months old, but we later, after we learned more, we realized he was clearly mature, haha. Pet stores:confused:). We are wondering, after the final molt, how much longer can we expect him to live?
Thanks!

Since it’s a slower growing species I would guess it could live for a year to a couple years, it just boils down to the individual as well. Generally the males of faster growing tropical species don’t live as long.

Well apparently they can live 3 years, LOL.

While i can't speek from experience, my understanding from what i have read is that usually (depending on species) about 6 months to 2 or 3 years, so unfortunately, i would expect that he is approaching the end.

Thank you guys!
We are kind of expecting him to die soon, he's ancient and kind of looking pretty old haha

Three years is exceptional for a MM, he had a good life...you can expect it to happen soon.
