Male B. Smithi x SPERM WEB!!!

Im writing you to ask about my Brachypelma smithi(male).
it molt´s 3 weeks ago, but i really want to ask you:
why it din´t do the sperm web ?
is there any way to stimulate him to do ?
he´s always doing burrows but didn´t do the sperm web...
should i whap its terrarium with playboy magazine ?
come on... help me and him!

I'm guessing that its fully matured. It should start pretty soon, if it hasn't already. My Gigas male didn't start till 3-4 weeks after. I've caught him in the mornings doing his dirty work.

The P. scrofa I sent off to breed was mature for a few months at least before I even noticed. He never made a sperm web in my care.

Try putting some of the female's webbing in his enclosure. Sometimes the pheromone from the female will jumpstart his sex drive. Give it a shot. Good luck.

my male avic took around 4 weeks after the ultimate molt to built a sperm web, so your's is still in time i guess

also, maybe you missed the building - they often do it at nicht (lol), and destroy the web afterwards. look of a tangled thread of dilk, that's what a destroyed sperm web most often looks like. good luck!
