I don't really post much anymore. Sold off all of my collection and I am no focusing on snakes again. Found this guy at work. I have seen a couple before but they were never this big. Pictures taken by a friend, not me. I don't have a camera at work. Location is Fort Pierce, FL.

Anyway, here are the pictures. We keyed it out to be Peucetia viridans.

These are awesome. We've been running across quite a few lately in patches of goldenrod. Many have been mf with egg sacs which look somewhat like an Old European cut diamond- or with a little more imagination, a UFO. :D

Nice pics...was hoping to see these while in your area, but saw only one young'n.

TerryD- What is it about goldenrod? It's been a host plant for a lot of my finds this summer. I did notice it attracts many of the smaller bees.

don't feel so bad. in my 20+ years of living in FL, i have only seen 2.
