Hi i just got 6 chinese striped bark scorpions.. Anybody with experience on the stated specie? I'll take pictures of them soon as possible.

the young tend to die very easily

aand they are arboreal so you need some bark arranged in different vertical ways (its best)

aaaaaaand they are very quick and cryptic so watch out when you reach into the tank, they blend into the surroundings well

Yes, they are difficult to keep alive. I had ten scorplings and lost them all :wall:

Before I kept them quite humid, but since I keep them more dry I have less mortality...

I kept them rather humid as well. I'll try to keep them drier next time i get hold of some.

What is the white stuff on the back on the scorp that it's at the bottom of the photo?
It looks like newborn casted exoskeletons.
Did she gave birth lately?

Btw do they need lots of moisture? need a pool to swim?

they need moisture yes, but apparently they die less often at slightly less humid conditions (less humid than typical P.imperator setup)

offer a water dish if you want, but there is a risk of drowning

they dont swim!!!

the original videos of the "swimming scorpion" did show the lychas flicking its tail to more forewards in water

but there were sloping edges to the "swimming pool"
