the kids next door had a turtle. i caught it crossing my back yard once and returned it. they now say its gone again. i looked all over and did not see it. where would it be attracked to go. i have no lawn. weeds, rose bushes, stacked wood, old tires, jade plant, lots of sand and an empty dog run storing parts and generators. its hot out here and i don't want it to get stuck. any suggestions?

When I can't readily see Joob in her enclosure.. she's head first in the compost pile, usually. I have found her stashed away in my nursery supplies... stacked clay pots, starter trays, soil/etc. bags and buckets. ...underneath the brick workspace. If not in those 2 places, she's deep in the flora... under some herbs or a thick geranium.

Look in the shade, basically.

You can also put out a shallow dish of sorts, with clean water... he may seek it out for a dip or drink.

Good Luck!
