One of my friends in the dorm has a boyfriend who was reacting to the her pet rat. The other day, I came back to my room from class finding in my room a rat with a note that asked me to take care of "this rat." (By the way, I keep my room unlocked 24 hours a day.)

The cage that came with the rat is too small so I decided to let the rat roam my room when I'm there and only my bathroom, which is relatively big in my dorm, when I'm not there.

How long do rats live?

What kind of rat is it, A plain old white lab rat or is it a fancy rat??

I always wanted a hairless rat.

I had a white lab rat and it lived for 7 years.
I'm not sure if the type of rodent it is makes a difference.
You'll have it a few years anyway:)
Rats are kind of interesting to watch and really smart.

Yup, they are really smart.
1) I've read that they can sense numbers, while dolphins cant. For example, if you give a rat 3 pieces of cheese or 2 pieces, it will surely go for the 3.
2) They put a rat in a labyrinth that had a piece of food in the middle. It finally found the food. Then they took it out and put it in the same place as before. This time, with NO hesitation AT ALL, it went str8 to the food!!!!!

I got some more examples but I'm 2 lazy....
