Yeah it does a decent job when I can get it set up right and there's nothing in the way of it.

Yeah it captured the pattern on your slings abdomen really well. Kinda regret purchasing adults now and kinda wish I would've just gotten slings.

I got a juvi for my first GBB and later bought a sling to watch grow. The color changes you get to see while it's growing is pretty cool.

I'll be honest. All I have ever bought is slings. My first T was an A. versicolor sling. I've considered buying adults or subadults for having bigger T's right away but I just can't bring myself to do it. I like watching them grow a lot. That and well...>.> they're cheaper.....

Yeah, the majority of mine have been slings though I have bought a few juvies and adults females. I'm fond of watching them grow and it's very striking when they leave the sling colors behind and start showing off the adult colors.

I want to get into breeding and such soon once I really have things sorted out and set up here. So I'm considering buying a mating pair. Just haven't decided species, as well as need the money. Considering my A. versicolor may be close to maturing around when I may finally be ready to breed, I may try and find a mature female to buy and breed then and start with them. But haven't decided for sure yet. But I do want to really try and contribute to the hobby and help it grow.

Live streaming again. This time you can see a carpenter ant playing king of the hill and chasing off pavement ants from the bit of honey I set out for them. The carpenter ants live in a formicarium attached to the outworld I've created while the pavement ants live in the outworld. Both are small colonies and at the moment not a huge danger to one another. I'm currently working on making another outworld to keep them separated, but seeing the interaction between them as this is how ants would act out in the wild when it comes to competing for food is rather fascinating.

Something else to note, the carpenter ant has yet to kill any of the pavement ants. It has picked them up and flung them but hasn't seemed to actually caused casualties when it easily could. It's pretty nifty to watch I think.

Thanks to @Kymura for pointing me in the right direction, I have gotten some pretty cool 250 card case clear boxes in yesterday. Five in total that I can use to make a bit more decent T enclosures. They have a bit more space length wise then the small Armac boxes but they are roughly the same height. Now these are going to be specifically set up for terrestrial species.

My plan is to do Live streaming of drilling the holes into the boxes later today around 5:30-6:00 MST for those who want to watch and ask questions. As for putting them together I plan to hopefully get to doing that this coming Wednesday. I'm not sure yet what time I want to do the stream I'll try and figure that out Tuesday and post that up. This is mostly if I can get my parents to take my son on Tuesday so that I wont have a screaming child in the house so I can actually verbally discuss what I am doing and answer questions rather then have to stay muted to keep views ears from bleeding because of my son. lol. I also have to get some more materials such as cocoa fiber and crickets to do a cricket test on topsoil I got from ACE from actual town and that's an hour and half drive from where I live so...Yeah a lot to do before I have what I need to be able to do the stream.

Remember if you can't make it to the streams you can still go back and watch them on my twitch account. However I figured I might try and give those who have enjoyed watching some forewarning so they can have a heads up.

Getting the stream up and running, remember this is focusing mostly on drilling holes into acrylic/plastic. I may get one enclosure actually made and set up for an occupant today haven't decided yet. I will have moments of actually verbally discussing what I am doing and answering questions people may have. This is my first time adding voice to the mix so bear with me.

I'm going to be live streaming again hopefully around 6pm MST tonight. Will be putting together the new sling enclosures that are slightly bigger then the small armac boxes boxes. (Same height roughly but 2 times in length). I did a video on how i went about drilling holes in them with the drill press. Still have to drill 3 boxes before the stream tonight but shouldn't take to long. Already marked and ready. 20160907_131111.jpg 20160907_131135.jpg

While I have it scheduled to do the enclosures at 6pm MST so people can see me put them together and how I go about that. I'm currently drilling boxes again for anyone interested.

Live streaming now. Setting up 4 sling enclosures, each will be set up slightly different depending on the T going in them.
