Good lord, why do these threads keep coming up? Why is it when people find a small animal they automatically think, "food for T"?
Am I the only person left that thinks, "ooh cool lizard, I wonder if I should keep it for a little while or release it immediately"?

To answer your question, who knows? It could be that the little blighter will damage your T in some way, or it could introduce some nasty parasite or toxin, on the other hand it could be fine, try it and find out.

I'm outta here.

Good luck.

Watch out for their razor sharp teeth and don't forget that the house gecko feeds on Ts in nature.

I agree with nightbreed on this one. I find all kinds of creatures around my property and never do I think of feeding them to my Ts but rather how cool of a creature it is.

Same here and I don't see the point in taking an unnecessary risk. :?

I wouldnt even risk feeding a wild caught cricket to my T's, no way to know if they been in contact with pesticides and with a gecko, well as already stated here you could introduce parasites.
Personally I would want to keep the gecko as a pet!

Wild Food

When I got my first tarantula, the salesperson told me I could catch bugs and other animals from outside and feed them to my t. Of course I know a lot better now! I've explained the dangers of this a few times to friends and family that insist on trying to feed my animals things they find crawling around outside. For some reason, I could never feed any of my tarantulas a lizard. I like geckos, and have new respect for them after a friend gave me three rather aggressive ones. He called them "alligator geckos" or something. And recently I saw up close the tokay, which had a really nasty temper! I had no idea the little guys (geckos) could be so grumpy. Anyway, sorry for rambling a bit, just thought I'd share.

Dont feed it. You can go and buy a pinky for your T, which would probably be safer and more nutritious. Geckos are cool :) And they are doing you a HUGE service in the pest control department, show them some respect :)
