Yes there is a light on, and no it does not bother them.
Both my old and new webcams were able to do ether time lapse or motion detection video, or both.

Time lapse means I set the webcam to take a picture once every_____seconds, minutes, hours. Then when you stop taking pictures it combines all of the still shots into a video. But that is more like a fast slide show not like the sped up videos I did on this thread.

I have a local weather station 1.5 miles from my house. I logged into their site and check the pressure. But I think I am going to get a meter for my room soon.

Perhaps his weather station measures bp with a different unit (decimal location)???

Talkenlate, I wanted to ask you if you do something special to ensure the spiders' burrows are right up next to the glass like that for pictures...

And another dumb question--if these are arboreals, why do they seem to have taken up residence at the bottom of your habitats? (Obviously I know nothing about pokies...)

I just make sure the hide is in the corner. Even though they are arboreal they like to be sealed off and secluded for their egg sac production. So the hide setup I chose to use is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. They tend to move in, clear out a bunch of substrate, web the top of the hide shut, then settle in to make their sacs much like they might inside a hollow tree branch only in this setup it is on the ground. The setup was not made because I get to see, it is just a bonus. :)

Ah, I see. Well, how fortuitous! :)

So do you hollow out wood or something to be sure you get the right tapering to the intended sac site? And would non breeding individuals of either sex of these species take up residence in such areas as well? (Because it's always preferable to have the best viewing & pic-taking presentations possible!

It does not matter if they are male or female bred or not they all like this type setup and it is nice because you get to see them a lot and check in on them with little disturbance.

looks like she got caught up in her own silk.
that looked quite frustrating.
i couldnt imagine what that would be like to do, working in such a tight space, without real useable didgits at the end of your appendages.

great footage talkenlate, you ever consider writing a manual on breeding T's?

I read one of your old posts about B. smithi breeding. i dont think that it would be too hard for you to through a few of those descriptions together and make something of it. just an idea, but it seems like you've had alot of experience, cant hurt to share some of it.

I share it all on here all the time. Anyone can pm me about anything, and if I know anything about it I will try and answer the best that I can. If I don't know I will just tell you I don't know. :)

As for writing something, maybe someday. But this site is a great way for me to share things I do and see so for now this is where I will put any info I gather.
