ID please.
I found these behind bark on a stump of what looked to be cider, pine or some species of soft wood. They were burrowed down in chambers, presumably laying eggs for the upcoming year. Found in Southern Ontario, in a mixed forest near water, if that helps. They are 3/8th inch long, and seemed extremely passive, even when flying about.
