One needs export permits and the receiver needs permits. To give you and idea, to make it worth the time and money for me to import Ts from Europe, the order has to be at least 2,000$ .

Otherwise you are smuggling and stuff is checked all the time.
I agree, but the $2,000 mark is arbitrary and depends on the seller. I know of one place in Germany where the minimum is roughly $1,090 for international shipments.

Now, to make it worth it of course you might have to spend $2,000+ depending on shipping...

Thanks,

Step 1: get a big box with 1000 face mask in it
Step 2: hide your scorpions inside there
What airport security suspects anything about that at this time of the crisis ??
:p  :p

True, for the person I know, that was what s/he told me- I had asked because I considered importing at one point, but only once, and it wasn't worth it to me. 2k requires a lot of space for new Ts. I don't need that many Ts.

Ha ha, just kidding...

Anyway, yeah, that is a lot of specimens (and money). Both are the main reasons why I don't import by myself, rather conducting imports with my local invertebrate club in order to meet the minimum and still bring in cool species. Plus, spreading out rare species across multiple people always helps in case one or two people lose their specimen(s).

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if its illegal for Americans to ship their native species overseas? I know its illegal for them to order stuff from here in Europe but I'd pay a good amount to get my hands on some of the american species
I plan on doing things right and not get in trouble but once I figure all the red tape out I would be more than happy to send you as many as you want
