Thanks for the reply.

Was hoping for some more replys to be alittle more sure. Sometimes these turn into big guessing threads.

Very much so lol.

How do you get your pictures taken so closely. I have trouble getting as close as I do my camera has problems focusing sometimes.

i use macro lens adapters..they work ok..but nothing compared to a true macro lens. i have to usually take 2 or 3 shots to get the flash and clarity for them.

maybe one day i will be able to afford an external flash and a macro lens.

I myself have a small point and shoot that doesn't have a macro lens but still manage to get pretty good close-ups. Try getting the camera farther away from the subject and zooming in. I think I was at least three feet from my boehmei when I got this one through the glass!

I zoom up to the 12x limit for some of these. The camera does not have the easiest time zooming but I think for a lot people it's totally worth a shot!

I cant get good pictures through the plastic kritter keepers im keeping these in atm... so I have to pull them out which makes the pictures even harder to deal with lol. They are on a clean plastic lid to one of these cages meaning they are VERY close to my fingers and sometimes on and up my arm. So that adds to the difficulty of the pics as well.

I have gotten some very nice close up pics and other times I just cannot even when conditions are almost the same.

Try cupping the T with the cup over the T and card stock on the bottom, then slowly slide the T and cup onto a piece of clean glass (like from a picture frame) have someone hold that up and take your pics. You might have to adjust your angle to keep the glare down.

If you have a picture frame the glass will be fine, you should just clean it first. Or make a run to a big-box store and get the cheapest frame they have (should run you around $1)
