So for my birthday this year I’m thinking I’d like to get a P. regalis on my arm. It’ll be my first tattoo (I know I know I’m quite late to the party 😅), and I’d like it to be as naturalistic and detailed as possible. I’d love to see some of your tattoos also!

Don’t get a tat. Stay natural. Everyone has tattoos. I’m getting my one, removed. You don’t put bumper stickers on a Lamborghini.

You know, this is incredible. I like this kind of philosophy. Stickers on a Lambo, heck... Terrible. The funny thing is that I have a couple of tattoos, but I really give to those no importance at all.
Everyone has a tattoo in the world of today, certain folks are more ink-covered than certain New Zealand Maori chiefs. I'm not in any way or form in regret, don't get me wrong... But I really laugh at certain folks that claims about some sort of 'deep, inner, whatever reasons/meaning' for having one and/or behind their tattoos: It's just freaking ink on your skin, nothing else.

Btw if I'm not wrong there's already a similar thread in the off topic section.

I’m not against people getting ink. You’re body, do what you want to it. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve kinda become a purest in the sense that my body is a temple and I shouldn’t deface it. The only person I know who doesn’t have a tat is my gf and I think that’s actually cool and makes her unique. Considering she didn’t follow the trend. Op, by all means if you want to get a tat and you’re passionate about it, go for it. I’m not trying to judge or crap on your decision. You do you my dude!

Aside the "temple" part (since I have tattoos) my position in those recent years changed.
Getting older, I can't stand anymore all of the crap that, very often (not always) rotate around tattoos. Including the "fashion" thing, or some sort of bizarre/mystical explanation for those. Including pure finest stupidity, like for instance, man/woman that cries after he/she's went fired due to tattoos all over the face etc

Of course, @BobGril, just talking eh... Ain't judging no one :)

Yes, there is. However, it is for any type of tattoos. This one specifically says "tarantula", so we will leave it in T chat. This means that the pics in this thread should be of tarantula related tats ONLY.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but your gf is not unique. ;)

Both my 20 year old son and myself do not have any tattoos and do not plan on getting any. No reason other than it is just not for us.

Of course Scott has some and my 22 year old daughter not only has a bunch, but is apprenticing soon to become a tattoo artist. None are tarantula related, so no pics for this thread. ;)

Why would someone spend money on ink, when they can buy the real thing???? I've never understood that.

Like anything else, they want too. I've seen some really, really smart animal tattoos.

I'm practical about it. If I want a T, I'll buy one not an imitation.
See it more like showing your appreciation or love of them. Not that you need a tattoo for that but obviously some choose to show it that way. Like a t-shirt with a band on.

I change my desktop wallpaper every few days. You think I could live with the same image on my body FOREVER?

My question to the OP would be....are you sure you will be a T enthusiast for the rest of your life?. Granted.i don't know your age,but if you are younger than 30?,maybe,do you want that tat if you lose intrest in T,s.
Just because,im 66 years young,lol.40 years ago,i kept herps, and went to San Diego to attend a herp convention.Almost got a tat of a blood python.
How many herps do i have now?.0.....not telling you not to.its your body,do what you want.But.try like hell to make it something that makes you happy.

Go for it if it's what you want. Although do spend sometime finding a really good tattooist and be prepared to wait a long time for them to fit you in. Maybe months. You'll thank yourself for your patience when your masterpiece is on your arm.

Do it only if you know for sure you will not regret it. I don't think I would ever be able to get a tattoo mainly because I know myself and I will regret it.

I'd happily wager more humans get married and regret it than get tattoos they regret.

And besides, a tattoo you might regret in the future can always be covered up with another tattoo.

Ok...ill give ya that.(speaking from experience, lol). But a lot more folks get married than get tats. And you can always go your separate ways, when it don't work out.
That tat goes with ya.I can get the hotel room without my other half. The tat goes to bed with me.ALL the time.Yes.I get you can have it removed.
