Hell Guys,

I just want to share something here.

I have an LQ which was mated Last February 25, 2020, she gave birth May 8 2020 and now May 10, all the scorplings molted.

Is this considered normal or very fast? LQ 1-ink.jpeg LQ 2-ink.jpeg

it could be she may have been mated previously to the one in Feb. They are known to put gestation on hold for a long time and then suddenly balloon up and pop out scorplings when they feel the conditions are right.

25 Feb - 08 May, that would be a little over 2 months. That's extremely fast.
Normally LQ gestation is 6 months, however some stretch it up to 8 months.
Don't forget that many scorpions are able to store sperm from previous mating sessions and use that whenever they feel conditions are right.
You can read this document about it, I think it helps.

I know that they're able to store sperm. And she was never mated. Maybe it's because of the weather here? Lately it's really been hot in our area.

2 days after coming out and they molted is possible right?

2 days is quick, but possible.
Usually it takes 6-10 days.
Your specimens seems to develop really fast.
How high are your temperatures ?
Here in the Philippines its really hot, even as a type now, sometimes it's more that 35 degrees Celsius,

By the way, after the mother pops I put water on her waterdish, when I check this morning it's empty, do you think it has something to do with it? I mean the temp is hight and the water evaporated

Wow, 35°C !!
Very likely she drank some water.
The best way to check this in the future is to use a clean paint brush,
use that to smooth out the top layer of sand before you go to sleep.
In the morning you are able to see the footprints in the sand.
I do this often in the enclosures with sand substrate, it gives good insight on how active the scorpion is at night.

I see, let me try and do it as well😁 by the way, I've already separated the mom from her babies since all of then are on the ground.

Tomorrow I'll move them to a new enclosure and count how many are there

The babies are not as many as before. I think it's only around 20 to 30 pcs. Unlike before it was 82. But I'm not sure yet, I'll wait for them to molt
