Maybe the eggsac (if I get one) will be infertile and you can be happy.

Good for you!
These two spiders are from northwest of Brazil (where I live, btw => São Paulo) and I wanna know if they can produce an fertile eggsac. The genus Lasiodora have some similar species and I have some theories...

Ok, I have two lasiodoras - parahybana and striatipes. At some point I lost track of which is which because they were so tiny.

This fellow seems to grow faster but what do you guys think? Is it parahybana or striatipes.

It's about 2 - 2,5"

You purposely crossed two different species? Hmmm, well just promise that you won't release them into the hobby.

Ok, phew haha!

There are hybrids floating around here in Canada as well, b. pallidum x vagans.

They look nice, but I just don't think it is "right", but if it just for you confirming some theories, and you are keeping them out of possible breeders hands(if they are even fertile), I think it should be alright :?

Here's some pics of the gorgeous 7-inch female L. Parahybana I picked up earlier this week. {D She had been rescued by the RSPCA, and is settling into her new home well. I love the way this species sits out in open, she seems to have made this bit of wood her base now...

Lasiodora Parahybana...

Well, she did it again. If I had to say which of my Lassie's sheds the most it would be this one! She shed 4 months ago! WOW!!!
Enjoy! :D
