:rofl:thats when things gradually turn into a dedicated bug room that annoys and angers the spouse or significant other until they get used to things

Take into account when all these slings are adults.

Adults = bigger enclosures that take up more space than a tiny deli cup or vial.

Alot of new keepers rush collecting too fast and don't equate that into the formula.
I've took it all into consideration don't worry, I'm a responsible person.

No one’s saying specifically otherwise, but we’ve seen lots of people come collect slings up rapidly and then not be around long term. Another thing aside from space that can be overlooked is that cost of adult enclosures can be significant depending on material and if needing to do 30x at a time it can be a pretty penny just to get them housed in adult set ups. There are also very economical alternatives too but even those things add up, like racks and tubs, etc

I’ve heard experienced keepers say , how many new keepers don’t understand how long lived these spiders are. It’s a long term commitment, unless you happen to get unlucky and have all short lived fast growing males. But that’s rather unlikely. Actuality 75% of my larger sling purchases were males. 10+ at a time.
Slow growing species males can take a long time to grow. I wish had grabbed more of this type.

Yes exactly, like my Grammostola that can very likely still be with me in 30+ years. Tarantulas are not minimal investments to be overlooked, no amimals needs of an entire lifetime should be overlooked ever, but I think people skip over the fact of just how long sone of the species even males can live!!

Here's a good example

My 3/4 of an inch genic when I got it wound up being enormous after it's penultimate molt now a MM.

He was 7 inches before this molt. I have him in an extra large Kritter Keeper. That KK took two and little more of coco fiber bricks to fill. I still wanted to put some more but left it at where it's at. It has plenty of depth of sub. It also weighs quite a bit too.

So......now he is over 8 inches easy. The longest front and back legs are 4 inches. That's not including his carapace.

He molted on July 26th. I'll feed him two huge roaches next week. His fangs are darken now but he needs some more time hardening up.

Once he goes on the move I'm going to measure him. I suspect he's 9 inches dls but words mean nothing. I have a mini tape measure and want an accurate measurement for proof.

I can see putting him in a 10 gallon tank easy, the size of him is incredible. This is the first time I've seen a T this big in person and it's mind blowing.

I can't fathom seeing a T 10 to 11 inches, just wow.

I fully understand the point you are all trying to make, but I have thought it through, I have the space to store these Ts as adults in stackable tubs and I have more than enough time on my hands to care for them all. Thank you all for your concern but I'm pretty certain that I've got this covered.

Hey guys, just thought I would let you all know that I got up this morning and done my usual checks and noticed what I at first took for a T haphazardly poking out of the hide, upon further inspection I realised it was actually a molt, so it has molted successfully and will hopefully show face for some well deserved food.

Nice , if you find any good clear containers, post them here. It’s a challenge finding good ones. Although I’m not In The uk so .. I’ll just have to get the American version.

I will do, I'm still kind of looking around to see what works best for me. As you said, I'm in the UK so some of my sources may not be available to you and vice versa, but I will definitely post what I find on my excursions.
