I'm looking to buy another Scorpion after my last one croaked while dining on a moth (never knew they were poisonous to my Asian Hissing Scorpion).

I was wanting to buy one, based on sheer size. I don't care how venomous it is, I just want one that will grow to be huge (in Scorpion terms of course).

Do I only have a choice of either the Emperor or Asian Hissing Scorpions? Or are there other ones? If those 2 are the largest, I'll settle with 2nd, as I want something different now.

I believe Hadogenes troglodytes (Flat Rock Scorpion) is the largest scorpion.

I believe heterometrus swammerdami is the largest spp. but very very rare, and if available, lots of coin.

Here we go again....

Hadogenes specie has the largest body span.
H.Swammadermi has the largest body mass.
Pandinus dictator has been shown to rival Swammadermi, but not enough evaluations has been done on that specie.

Maybe I should reword my previous post to avoid confusion. I believe Hadogenes troglodytes (Flat Rock Scorpion) is the longest scorpion.

The pincers on the H.Swammerdermi are insane!

After some google imaging, I think I'm going to have to make an order in a few months for one of those. Thanks for the replies guys,

Hi.

Hadogenes troglodytes ist the longest scorp, but Pandinus imperator has more weight.

The biggest known scorp is P. imperator.

I remember reading on the Internet that the two biggest, heaviest specimens found and recorded so far are swammerdami and imperator. I think the swammer was only about a 1/4 inch bigger than the imperator. Of course, that's just random info on the internet I read that could be false, way out-dated, made up, or even true, lol. Been a couple of years since I read that. Yeah, this topic has been hammered out a few times.
