Sure, you can ask questions wherever you want!wolfpak said:is it ok if i ask questions about lividiums in this thread?
I had the same problem with my lividum, she would not burrow. I had to swap her for a L.Parahybana due to a drunken incident :8oLorgakor said:Sure, you can ask questions wherever you want!![]()
Update: This H. lividum is still doing very well. She eats, webs, threatens once in a blue moon, but doesn't dig. That's right, a terrestrial H. lividum that is out all the time. She has enough dirt to dig, she just chooses not to. She has a hide that she goes in sometimes, mostly she just hangs out. The lump has not changed any, and I am hoping she will molt soon so I can see how that goes, but on the whole she is a great tarantula. If only all obligate burrowers were so calm and visible!
Well, the male would be mature if it no longer resembles a H. lividum. It would also have tibial spurs and altered palps. The female is probably mature if it is over 4.5 inches or so. How big are the two you bought? Do you know the sex of them?wolfpak said:just bought two lividuim yesterday. just one question, how would you determine if the Ts are sexually mature and ready for breeding?
I really don't know. Anything is possible I suppose. Apparently the guy we got her from had her for quite a long time, but I think she is wild caught so this could have happened in the wild. It does look like there are scars over the lump. I'm just going to wait for a molt and see if anything changes. If not, well, she is a beauty anyway and she only cost me $6.00.YouLosePayUp said:Is it possible that someone prior to you and your husband could've tried to handle the T and maybe dropped it? An unlucky fall could possibly leave a contusion couldn't it??
