Well do you know how to take care of larder beetles i dont think so but hey im only 14 watta expect?

actually, I do. I have kept several thousand and use them to strip carcasses, kid.

I might try breeding a couple for wasp colonies in the summer. But where to get enough to start with? Right now I only have 1 adult beetle

Ha, that made me laugh a little. Hmm, the "no mite prob" made me wonder if the newborns might eat and get rid of unwanted mites. I don't know, I've never messed with these but the idea of it sounds pretty cool.

Look around your home under carpets you nam it you can find em anywere!

well, that depends on where you live and how clean your house is.

Vulgaris; I'm sure you could find some around a carcass of some sort, if you have any frozen mice or anything simmilar, dump it outside and see what happens. I only got these because they come in cricket tubs as "rolly pollies" so I don't know alot about these beetles. I'm just going on personal experience and they have been thriving they way I'm keeping them at the moment.

My one larva that I raised hardly ate anything, I just gave it some fish food and left it alone for three weeks and it was an adult when I checked back in on it

I'm sure they are eating and you just don't realize it.

I thought of something cool!Im going to have a colony of larderbeetles [just like ants!]ill have a setup just like ants ill have a foraging area and a lot of chambers ill update when im done
