Hi,

i have the opurtunity to mate this species as i have a pair. The body lenght of the female is five and a half cm. First the female is probably not yet mature. How to know that? Ofcourse with examining the moult skin, but i never had the chance. Any ideas by looking at the picture, if it's even possible.

doom!

Generally speaking, they say a female is 'mature' at 60% of their adult size. If you feel that your female is around that size or larger, I'd definitely go for it.

Looking at those pictures though...I'm not so sure. The furrow doesn't look developed enough to me, but it might very well be. If you think you are able to hold off until she molts one more time, then that might be the better route to take. I suppose that would depend on how fresh your MM is.

Good to see you around, and good luck with the pairing!

I have a female that's roughly the same size at 5.5cm body length. She molted recently attaining the same size as yours and I was able to get a look at her lady parts.

I dug through my box of molts just to find her old clothes so I could take a picture.
I hope it's helpful :3

Thank you both for reply. I've allready tried it before posting this thread and i will try again, because male survived the first mating. I think the mating was successful. I was very worried what will happen to the male. We'll see... but the male is kind of old age.

Cool, good luck with the future pairings. I would also like to have the opportunity to breed my own KB someday if I acquire a male :)
