Keeping a T properly hydrated question

Hello! I am a new T parent and I want to make sure I am keeping my T. Albo properly hydrated. Its name is Nacho, currently an 2.5” unsexed juvenile who I think is in pre-molt based on my reading and its behavior.

However! Because Nacho is new (only been home about a week), they’re not real comfortable cruising around their enclosure yet. Nacho likes to stay in the corner by the plants which is the opposite side of the water bowl. I’ve seen them drink out of the bowl once, about two days after we got them.

Should I put a few drops of water on the side of the enclosure they like to stay on? Or just trust the process and Nacho will figure out where the bowl is again?

TLDR; T doesn’t leave its comfy corner but water bowl is on the other side. Should I put some drops of water on the comfy side to make sure Nacho is hydrated?

A water dish is all you need to provide.....tarantulas don't drink very often, in fact they do so rarely.

IME I leave the bowl in same place

but I don’t count on them to remember location. I’ve had some “seem” to forget or not use one. Though they do like droplets of water on webbing

you need to watch their abdomen size

Mine often get to there’s when I’m not looking, like in the wee hours of the morning. I can tell because I see dirt in their dish. If in doubt clean the dish and look at it over a week’s time.

Best To Have Water Available and Not Need It.

Then To Need Water and Not Have It Available.
