Kaa's new habitat!

I finally got this setup for him (Kaa, our male Ball Python). It has a ceramic heat bulb on the hot side, and a nice florescent light for display purpose. This is great... it has good ventilation, stays nice and warm ambiance, and humidity is doing great without moisture substrate contact. The front is plexi on a slide track to open, and there is even a lock.

I am going to hit up the dollar store this evening for more fake foliage.

does the cage have any hides for the snake?

if not you will definitely want to get some...

What kind of substrate did you use?

Tile for now. He is in shed (notorious for tough sheds) and I am watching like a hawk. After that, aspen shavings (he buries himself in them sometimes, so I am waiting post-shed).

Do you see the snake in the photos?
You didnt say that the snake was already in the new cage...

And besides, it is always better to ask and be sure than to assume...

Yeah... he is in there. My point is that there are tons of hides in the photo (the whole setup is hides) so I thought it odd that you would ask if there were hides!

I think i see the snake in a hide.. in one of the pics.. haha its like wheres waldo
