Hi everyone! I'm new here but was told there was a lot of smart people floating around here who may know..

My jumping spider is spitting out a small droplet of purplish-tinted clear liquid and then sucking it back in over and over. I was able to take a short video here: <edit>

What is he doing? Is he dying? Is there anything I can do to help him?

I haven't seen my jumpers do this before. As long as he's active and eating fine I wouldn't worry.

Tarantulas do the same thing to clean themselves, they regurgitate stomach fluids to clean their fangs. I’d have to guess it’s doing the same.
