So when I got my ivory millipedes a few months ago He arrived with a black mark on his side that I had asked about and everyone said it’s probably a molting problem and once he molts it’ll go away. I haven’t seen him in few weeks, I know they can burrow for months at a time but happened to see him sleeping on the surface so I picked him up to see if he had molted and the blackish marking looks a little bigger, unless I’m being paranoid idk I just want another opinion just in case there’s something wrong with him If I should be expecting death

Also all of his legs are coordinated and working fine so far so it’s not effecting his legs or his ability to curl up

Looks like scarring from prior injuries/bad molts. May or may not get better with further molts but it shouldn't be fatal if the specimen is still alive.

Hope this helps,

If they have been in your care for a few months, I would say he has a good chance of full recovery. Often W/C millipedes arrive bruised and battered.
