Looks like webbing to me. All my slings have the same thing in theirs small enclosures. I have even watched them lay the webbing down. At first I thought it was mold too, but after removing it, ended up it was only webbing. I only use coco fiber and have not had any problems.

Peat moss and vermiculite is the only one I will use.
I've tried top soil and the like with moldy results.
Other than the native sp. I use peat and local soil.
Cheap and works awesome.

Never had an issue with coco-fiber either. All it needs is good ventilation. The mold can't sustain itself even on slightly damp sub (shouldn't be damper) with spot cleaning and the air circulating out. The soil will dry out faster but not that fast, and a few drops with the dropper will remoisten it just fine. I moved my super-friendly G. porteri off of coco-fiber and on to a peat/top soil mix, and now she's a total raging b***h lol. Rehousing her when I move is going to be awful. She never stops flicking and fighting now lol.

I always mix it with organic potting soil for species requiring higher humidity. When used alone, I find it too powdery. For lower humidity species, I mix organic potting soil with shredded cypress.
