Is this brand of potting soil okay for my millipede? And maybe more.

So I recently purchased a brand of potting soil, Just Natural Organic Potting Soil. I was also planning to use it for both my millipede and possibly tarantulas.

But I'm a little nervous and so is my boyfriend on using it. We're doing research to make sure and currently we can use any potting soils for Millipedes..But again just taking baby steps for my near future babies.

I have also added cat grass seeds for the sole purpose of adding a food source and maybe a possible hiding place for them, (let alone I have had cats and didn't want the seeds to go to waste).

But anywho, would the brand, Just Natural Organic Potting Soil, be alright for both millipedes AND tarantulas?

Again thank you!

I avoid any soil claiming to be organic. All soil is inherently organic, when you see that label, its in regards to the additives/fertilizers. Very often this includes manure...which can attract pests...often there is compost as well, but knowing what the compost is from is usually a mystery.

I use it for my millipedes but never tarantulas. Usually it has poultry manure in it. Like cold blood said, it could attract pests. You also need to wash your hands thoroughly after coming in contact with it. My friend cut his hand on a pot when he was re planting some of his plant collection. It was a small cut but he didn't wash it until the end of the day. He was fine for a few days but then got sick with a fever which lasted a week and a half. Just be careful and use gloves when dealing with soils.
