Is this an AZ Bark Scorpion?

Under UV light:


They are about 2 inches long. I found them around my tent. I live in Wrightwood, CA at 6200 feet in the San Gabriel Mtns.

I don't think so. I think centruroides have a subacealar(sp???) tubicle, and these dont. wait for more suggestions though

no, not C. sculpturatus anyway...looks like some sort of Paruroctonus or Vaejovid species...

Almost surely a Paruroctonus species.
Species recorded in that area include;
P. baergi
P. arenicola nudipes
P. bantai saratoga
P. b. borregoensis
P. marksi

Although likely/possible candidates wood likely include P. boreus,
P. baergi, or P. luteolus. Further specimen examination may conclude.
Harmless species none the less.

diagnostic characters include; the shape and dentation of the chela ("pincers"), the anatomy and granulation of the metasoma ("tail"), and the comparably large median eyes.
