Sometimes i see she has her front legs on top of her eyes, like she is covering her eyes
Maybe she needs a tiny eye mask for sleepSometimes i see she has her front legs on top of her eyes, like she is covering her eyes
I think it goes back to your post with regards to them having periods of rest rather than sleep, with all animals they've got to rest, sleep, hibernate at some point or other, it's a fascinating subject, I think the scenario in question was that the spider was in fact in a semi-conscious state, allowing the prey to run in front of it, then it felt the vibration of the prey and awoke (so to speak) then took down the prey, it's one of those unknown, and probably never will be known facts, about our beloved 8 legged wonders. An interesting observation. Perhaps she just stayed still the first time to make sure it wasn't something bigger, something scary she should avoid? Something with bigger teeth, so to speak?
I admit, I think it'd be more interesting to hear of an OBT not lunging at the first brush of a cricket against their legs.
