Is this a chilling stance or a hungry stance?

My lil versicolor has been eating great after heeding the advice of some of the fine folks here on these forums. . . And I noticed she's been chillin like this lately, half inside half out, of her little web nook. And I'm curious if that's like a stance looking for food to eat? ... I do know that I dropped a cricket in, and turn my back literally for 5 seconds and by the time I turn back around and she had slightly changed her position, and happened to have the cricket dangling right out of her mouth.. idk how it happened so fast , but uhhh yeah haha ... Then it got me thinking to if that was possibly a sign that she was hungry, some sort of hunting stance or something? Maybe it's a behavior, or maybe just her, or maybe I'm crazy lol Idk im new to the hobby 😊 what do you all think?

Both- no one can tell you the true answer. only the t can.

A lot of husbandry is trial and error, and many of the errors- and this is one of them, won't cause a problem, except maybe a T going back home, or running away, or tapping its legs in defense etc etc, nothing wrong in asking, but don't be worried about making a "mistake" on your own w/out asking generally.

There are TONS of times I thought a T was hungry, and it wasn't, and vice versa. Just do it, like Nike!

I think you answered your own question here, but yes, that is a classic ambush posture. It is the arboreal equivalent to a burrowing tarantula's ambush posture of sticking its legs or feet out of a hole in the ground. I caution you to not feed every time it does that though. It doesn't need to eat every time it is looking for food.

Do you happen to see a regular pattern? As in during the day it is hidden inside its "little web nook" and at night comes half way out?
