I got my T's from ....I believe it was PetCenterUsa in Lomita, CA.
I knew they had a web site, and would post what T's they had available.

I cannot find the site anymore, the link always comes back as dead.

Did they go out of business?

yeah they turned into arachnocenter USA, marketed some hybrids yet again, then went out of business.

That is unfortunate. They always had a nice selection of just about any kind of T or reptile (or even mantids) and I prefer walking in and picking one out, not having it shipped.

Is there another storefront with that kind of selection in the So Cal (OC/Los Angeles) area?

The catch is that Paul depended upon that frowned on mail order for the income to maintain such a large walk in store of specialised goods. Yet, in spite of that, he was sloppy with the labelling, sloppy with the packing, and sloppy with resolving problems. The inevitable result was that the market place did its own weeding.

I am a friend of pauls...he sold petcenterusa...he then opened up arachnocenter...he sold that because he had a lawsuit against him pending from petcenter (those people were assholes)...right now he is writing and publishing one of the most comprehensive (photos included) taranatula books ever...expect him to come back the hobby in about a year, when hes finished with his book...

I can't say that I'm expecting much from someone who constantly had mis-named and misspelled species on his price list, or who upon being told that you were in a no-exotics apartment went and shipped in a cricket box (in nearly freezing temps, screen sides included gratis  )

haha yea well the difference for me was...I drove down there and got everything I wanted, so no trouble with any of the shipping things...maybe when you ordered from him, he had his employees doing most of the packing and shipping (and Ill be honest most of them didnt know much)...I doubt paul would personally ship something so crappy...

yea I guess you guys got screwed on labeling it sounds like...but paul had kick ass prices...blondi's for $25...p ornata's for $25...king baboon's for $15...everytime I went down there he had soooo much inventory and always something new every week...one time he mislabeled a genic for a brazilian black and white and when it got older he just traded me str8 across for a female genic...

This probably belongs in another forum, but I purchased a subadult "female" B. albopolisum from him and it turned out male, So I then purchased 6 B. albopolisum 1/4'' and they all turned out to be E. campestratus! But I did enjoy all of the T's and they all came in good condition.

people with no scruples don't belong in a hobby this small!
