Hello fellow hobbyists I know I post here a lot but honestly this is the only place where people know how to care for more obscure species of spiders (and inverts overall) so Iam writting here again

Today I saw my Cheiracanthium mildei (you may remember it from my other thread and/or see it on my PFP xD, atleast at the time of writting this) in a pretty big sac that it built, the sac is much more bigger than the one that it normaly builds for sleeping

I suppose is it for molting as from my experience spoods can build sacs for motling (for example one of my Gnaphosids built small sac everytime it was in pre-molt, tho other individual of the same species doesn't, but more about them some other time ;) )

Does anyone know what does this behaviour mean, do you have any experience with it or is it is just not known because C. mildei's life history isn't known much ?

On the pictures you can see the sac and my specimen in it

They also chill in their sac's often, and will remain there for a while.
Oh Okay Thank Youuuuu Very Much for the informations ^ ^

I know they rest in their sacs but this does not look like normal sac that this species builds for resting, the sacs that they build for resting are ussualy pretty small and almost unoticable

Or maybe an egg sac if it's wild caught. o_O
Yes the individual is wild caught (I honestly don't think anyone breeds this species in captivity xD, atleast not yet ;D ) but I don't think it's an eggsac, it doesn't look like a Cheiracanthium mildei eggsac and I don't think the mother would build an eggsac twice it's size and chill in it for a few days

The specimen also didn't had very chonky ophistosoma when it was given to me, it was rather slim compared to it's body so I don't think it would be a gravid individual, tho if it was it would be amazing 🤩, but it's not like I need any more babies in the time of writting this xD

The images bellow show Cheiracanthium mildei eggsac for comparision (the images are NOT mine, I hope it's allowed to post here images that aren't mine, if no then Iam very sorry)
