Ok mayby mine is just real chill. I have an adult male and female B. Vagans she is huge very friendly and one of the T's I use at educational presentations. I know some people say they get aggressive but mine just does not. After having a cast and seeing how much grip it gave my T's I use a fabric arm sock now when I take my T's to educational presentations it greatly reduces the chance of them getting hurt. From my experience the B Vagans a very chill T only one more chill is the Arizona Blond. I have never gotten a threat pose from the female (the male did at first then never again). If you dont have a reason it's best not to hold them. _20200108_130337.JPG

It's probably safe for you, but the tarantula could get accidentally injured or killed. They're actually rather fragile, especially if they fall. Also, the tarantula gets absolutely nothing out of it. They perceive us as a predator trying to grab them. It will only stress out the the tarantula. Why would you want to needlessly stress out your pets just to look cool?

Oh I agree !!! but like I said I do educational presentations for children my T's that get held are on a fabric sleeve they can grip and are kept very low to the table. I love my animals and if I were not doing this presentation I would have no real reason to hold them. So yes it is best not to hold them due to risk of falling.
