Man that thread is confusing. But im still drawing the same conclusion. First, Stan says that if there is no molt, there is no instar. Then with his pictures, the first one shows ewls. Then the 2nd picture shows 1st instar, but i still think those are actually ewls that are just darkening up for the molt. So if you removed the second picture, it would show the correct order, you would just have to rename them.

The first pic would be postembryo http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/708/groseaposte20.jpg/

The second pic would still be postembryo, just darkening http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/101/groseainstar1.jpg/

The third pic would be 1st instar http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/837/groseainstar2.jpg/

The last pic would be 2nd instar http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/groseainstar3.jpg/

I have never hatched out G. rosea, but of the other species i have hatched, this would be the correct order. Ive witnessed them at post embryo, then molt to 1st instar, then molt to 2nd instar, which will look like the ones in the last pic, and be ready for eating/seperating/shipping.

When you find this thread Stan, please dont think im contradicting at all. Just sparked a curiosity in me. Not much of the scientific part of the hobby does, because i lack the understanding of it. But i can understand big words like embryo and instar :).
