Is it normal for a half inch tarantula to show a threat posture?

When i bought my .5-.75" GBB sling the first contact ive had with him was prodding my brush to his legs for rehousing purposes, the first thing he did, and i mean the very first, was to show a threat posture,i freaked out a little since despite having 5 Ts before him, thats the first time i saw a threat posture(besides youtube vids and google picts ofc). I was like,"what the hell man, i thought you were cool for a newbie like me.". Unlike your girlfriend/boyfriend, when you upset a tarantula, you'll know.

OP...N. tripepii :D
If they're old enough to eat, they're old enough to threat pose.
I clicked on this thread in hopes of seeing a bunch of photos of slings throwing up threat postures...and you, my friend- you pulled through. :embarrassed::pics::happy:
Bravo! Bravo!

Sling threat poses are absolutely adorable. 1/4" N. chromatus kicking hairs is pretty good too.
