It's fine as long as you read the above-linked care threads. I'd also encourage you to post a photo of your setup (ideally before adding the tarantula) so that more experienced keepers can check for any issues that might jeopardize the health of your Avic, as they aren't as tolerant of mistakes as many other beginner species.

I would say at that size you should be fine considering it for a beginner. Like others are saying...temperament can always be particular to the individual and not the species, so test out the attitude over the course of a few weeks before handling. As long as you have an arboreal set up and a small water dish, you should be fine with care. =)
