Try grated carrots, all my roaches love it. Hissers, dubia, lobsters and latteralis. I also provide a staple of ground up dog food.
Also a strip of clear packing tape along the inside upper edge keeps the roaches from climbing out. Works great for me.
I don't think citrus is bad in smaller amounts, roaches I'm sure eat all kinds of things naturally. They do like pieces of orange , that is for sure.

Yeah, I mean I always have fed them oranges and haven't *notices* any ill effects on the predator inverts I've then fed them to, but that certainly doesn't mean there isn't some detrimental possibility... someone smarter than meon this issue have an opinion?

Anyhoo, I prepare the orange slices the same way... get a bag of navel oranges and peel them all, and break them into their natural sections... throw them in a giant freezer bag and viola, orange slice-cicles. :)

Yup i tossed an orange in last night peel and all and the little guys and gals ate most of it, now im just waiting for the baby spike lol, thanks all
