ANTS!

depending on where you live finding a queen is EASY it just depends on the species is what makes it hard! But usually finding an Ant alate is easier than you would think. If you live in Ohio I can help you out, if not I can try to contact some one who lives In you're state who keeps ants and find out if they have a spare colony they would be willing to lend to you.

With ants its Usually state lines that you have to watch out for. But in places like California you cant go past county line usually. PM me if you want more information. But ants are easy, get a de-alated queen (queen mated and wings removed). Wait for the first workers to eclose, or if the queen likes to forage while she waits give food water and sugary substances and you're set! Theirs all sorts of ways to keep you're ants. just depends on what you want to do! I'm not gonna go into allot of detail if you don't want to keep ants any ways.

It sucks cause in Europe you can easily buy common queens for cheep and a little more exotic ones like Atta Sp's (leaf cutters) for a decent chunk of change, but how often can you say you have a colony of leaf cutter ants?

Cheers
