I've been searching all over, and i've seen a few images of Hogna sp wolf spiders found in california, however I've never seen any, and information is scarcer than scarce.

Have any of you ever seen any in orange county? There's one record of an individual found in Irvine, however I'm unsure if that individual is an aberrant spider, or not.

I used to play with them in Chula Vista in the late 1960's. There were dozens stalking through the grass on the lawns and in the fields. It would be sad to hear they are all gone now.

Are you sure they were hogna sp?

I can already find various wolf spiders, of schizocosa and sosippus, amongst other relatively large wolves, however I really want to get my hands on some hogna!

I already know kenthebugguy sells them, but I want some native hogna, the natives always have such neat color phenotypes.
