I bought four potential Genysa trapdoors but haven't had luck finding any info. Does anyone have any leads?

I'd probably start them off with general trapdoor care and see how they settle in. Did the seller have any info on them?

He had where they originated and was using damp peat-moss which works. The only publication I see was by Simon 1900's

These guys seem to be rather rare and unknown. Exciting :)

I looked at the descriptive papers, and the only type info is Madagascar :shifty: that is such a classically frustrating 19th century thing to do. It's like they didn't know that Madagascar is a huge island with a variety of ecological zones ranging from rainforest to thornshrub. I haven't been able to find any other published material whatsoever. For what it's worth, it seems like other Idiopidae tend to be in dry-ish savannah or shrubland. Luckily, whatever material you use for substrate should serve as a humidity buffer (soil humidity is almost always near 99%, with the exception of coarse desert sand, as I understand it).

If you get these and get them to work, let us know how they go and what you do for them. What's your sex ratio like?
