There were issues in Saskatchewan expos as well where he was warned more than once over issues each time there was an Arachnophiliacs table. The "rotting tortoise fiasco" (that had some nasty ripples all the way down into the US...) and an absolute mess of improper shipping that had to be dealt with, garnering another warning at another.

He hosts his own Expo in Vancouver (and that's the one he's listed as hosting). Kinda hard to ban him from the one he runs himself, just saying, that isn't a vote of confidence from the rest that don't want him back anytime soon.

I know Arachnophiliacs was banned from the Alberta expos in 2019 and I think in part of 2018 due to breaking some rules, you can read an entire long arguing thread on the Alberta reptile society facebook page if you dig deep enough (unless it was removed).
I was the one that mentioned him being banned from expos. I should have clarified a bit. He is banned in alberta at least and only does the odd BC expos.
I can't speak from first hand knowledge but I heard that he came to an expo in alberta with illegal animals. Not illegal animals to have for pets but animals that you can not even import into Canada. So that would be akin to smuggling. As I said though I wasn't there but the old timers I have talked to have all said as much.

I use tarcan the most and they have been amazing to me. Totally interested in @Vanessa has going on too. Never dealt with Aracnophiliacs on a personal or business level so I don't have a dog in that fight but would personally spend my money elsewhere.

My knowledge up to this point is he was banned from expos. Maybe that decision has expired or perhaps he's not banned form all of them? I'm honestly not 100% on that. I do know, however, that when he was raided in I believe April (I could have that wrong), most if not all of his inverts were seized and destroyed. An astounding number of his reptiles were as well. Before the raid, he was selling customers very unwell inverts and reptiles, which I guess was partly what raised red flags. He was allegedly also accepting payment without sending the customer their purchase. Not sure if that part is true. I for one wouldn't chance it for a second. Many other reputable breeders in Canada who care for their animals.
I know they where going to be at the Vancouver reptile expo but its apparently canceled now

Hey guys. so now I'm confused if Arachnophiliacs is trustworthy to buy from, because you guys seem to be pretty anti them. And someone said they were banned from expos; but here it says they'll be at the 2020 April expo.

So some people in other forums say they're okay and others say he sucks.

He was banned from all the Pet Expo and Reptile Expo events in Ontario and Quebec due to selling banned animals under the table and he had Fish and Game, MNR, and Animal Control at the expos due to tortoises that are banned provincially/nationally. That was probably close to two years ago, if not longer. He was then banned from the prairie expos for having wild caught animals at their expos, which they have very strict rules prohibiting, so he created his own expo in BC. He created the Vancouver expo himself as that was the only option available to him.
All of that is dwarfed by the more recent events that took place that had hundreds of animals confiscated, many of them destroyed, from a property he was leasing after an investigation of animal cruelty. There has never been a statement made saying that he was not involved in that investigation and, if you know Bruce at all, he is very quick to be getting online defending himself the second he feels wronged. That no statement has been made by him removing himself, or his business, from that investigation speaks with the loudest volume.
You have to make up your own mind, though. It's up to you what you want to support and what you don't. It's up to you to place the bar as low, or high, as you want for this hobby.
Join the Canadian forum where there is a list of an import that Tangled in Webs is doing for the December Toronto Expo. Dawn has taken the business back and things are going to be back to normal shortly. There are also nationwide shipments in the works once we can get someone at each city to commit to receiving them.
