If someone uses the ignore fuction on a member, and another member “quotes” the ignored person in a post, will the person who ignored the member see the “quoted” post?

Great question. We can only assume that it might be possible. However, we have not tested this specific scenario. If you find out, please do let us know. :)

Yeah, I think you can see it, or maybe you see a quote box and you can click "show ignored member's comment." I really haven't used it that much, but it does make life so much better when someone keeps antagonizing.
EDIT: Found one of mine. Looks like this: Screenshot_20250118_223055_Chrome.jpg Name crossed out for privacy or whatever.

this is helpful. That muted microphone does share insight. I suppose i should ask members to ask the suspected ignoring member to tell us.

i like your respect. That says a lot about integrity. Honor is all on you.

i am totaly ignoring someone now to test it.

conclusion: yes, they know you posted

Edit: i went back to see. And that specific post was gone. Totaly.

so no. You see NOTHING. The member i ignored, had posted in the thread. And nothing showed up.

i will unignore them now them now too see.

I do not see their posts on a thread (or threads they start) at all, unless someone else quotes them, then I see the quote attributed to them but not what it says. I can un-ignore the specific quote if I click on it. I can also click on their post history and intentionally un-ignore posts if I go and find them, but I have to search them out. Hope that's helpful.

If an ignored person posts on a thread you get this notification at the end of the thread.

If the ignored person gets quoted by some other member you get this 'Ignored person said' and an up arrow indicating an above post and you get this instead of what was quoted

Normally, reactions notification from the ignored will not show in your info box. This minimizes or removes the ignored person from making a reaction to your posts to get your attention. I've got way over 100 dislike or disagree from reaction abusers simply trying to garner attention. This needs looking into to assure deliberate harassment is quelled. However, mods reactions are always notified, and they sometimes use this work around to abuse and harass. Mods cannot be ignored. I've received 5 of these so far quite recently. Useless non contributive attention grabbers.

Reactions are nothing more than just a reaction. They, most certainly, are NOT considered abuse or harassment. Just because that is how you view them, does not make it so.

they sometimes use this work around to abuse and harass.
Who are "they"?

Mods cannot be ignored.
Correct. I do not know of any platform that would allow that, at all.

What do you mean by "these"?

Useless non contributive attention grabbers
Only if you allow it to be.
