My cat has adopted a possum lol. The possum comes up and eats her food and when Daisy(the cat) is near he isn't agressive toward her or anything. He just minds his own business while eating her catfood.

Oh and I think she adopted a raccoon to but he runs when you open the door.

I'm assuming you aren't worried about or dont care getting rabies and rabies shots? or did you just have the possum get rabie shots?

opossums are something like 1000x more resistant to rabies than "risk" species (in NC it's raccoons, bats, skunks, and foxes). they're just notorious for pooping in livestock feed and making horses sick. :}

can they be not affected by rabies but still carry it?

I am not worried about the cat getting rabies since she has had her shot for the yr. I am more worried now because now theres foxes hanging around more and I'm scared she will be killed but I can't bring her in. The foxes have already killed a hen. Oh and while I'm on wildlife theres a black bear on a road near me lol.
