Hello, I am the original potser. I just want to talk about a few more details. We had her in a cage that opend from the top and sge was really happy in there, and then we got her a new cage that was taller and we put fake leaves on the side and a lot of stuff. She liked to be at the top off the cage manily all the time. But then she molted and a worm bit her we out corn starch on the injury but then shortly after she fell from the top of her cage and we hap to put corn starch on again. Then her right back leg was completly imoble and she went on walls less. She liked to stay behind a little cave that was in her cage and she was still active but would not climb walls, and when she tried she would like slowly slide down like she was slipping. And then when she tried to climb she could not at all it kept on gerring worse and worse and then she could'nt climb at all. She just stayed on the floor and i was just waiting for her to molt and she never molted a fourth time and she was young. and on the 20th of January this year I came home and she was in death curl and she sadly passed. So she was living a good life up untill her last months.

Thank you for sharing a bit more about what happened. All of this sounds consistent with her injuries, which can happen to any tarantula, regardless of age. As soon as you noticed that she had been bitten, you did the right thing by putting cornstarch on it. It's likely that her subsequent injuries were related. They move by pumping hemolymph (spider "blood") into their extremities, so when they lose enough hemolymph due to one injury, it can impact their ability to move properly, which matches your description. If you do get another tarantula, you can prevent this from happening again by crushing the heads of mealworms and superworms before giving them to your tarantula. Some people even behead them completely to ensure there is zero chance of them turning around and biting the spider back.

Once again, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I do hope you consider getting another tarantula when the time is right.
