I think he may have gotten a bad bite!

Well, I notice that a lot of us are jumping to conclusions. We don't know for sure if the dude did, in fact, receive a bad bite. I suggest we all take a deep breath and carefully examine the evidence and see if we can confirm whether he did indeed receive a bad bite, or if we are reading too much between the lines.
Now, the question is, is there anything that indicates that he received a bad bite? He is maddeningly vague about it, how exactly can we determine if he was badly bitten? One minute I'm thinking, "Man, I believe that guy just got a bad bite!", the next minute I thought "Hmm. Did he get bitten badly or not? Why doesn't he make it clear to the viewers?"

it came on the national geographic channel and yes he indeed got bit......i belive all the concern he was expressing, was that it was indeed a significant bite and that he was wading in bat poop....

i think it was a juv reticulated python..so yeah thats a nasty bite....

I got bitten on the knee by a 12- foot Retic, and that was a piece of cake compared to the 6 1/2-foot Emerald Tree Boa that nailed me on the hand, though! Even a big python's teeth are nubs compared to those of a big adult Corallus or a Chondro; I could hear and feel the ETB's teeth hit bone in my hand. To make matters worse, the ETB was in feeding mode, so she not only bit, she hung on, and began constricting my arm. The Retic bite was purely defensive and happened in the span of a nanosecond, and while the bite radius was bigger, the holes weren't nearly as deep. I didn't scream like a little girl, though, either time-probably cussed a bit, but no screaming. Brady Barr has admitted that he's afraid of snakes, and not at all comfortable around them. He typically overreacts every time he has to deal with a big constrictor(and that particular Retic didn't look an inch over eight feet) or anything venomous, yet he's totally comfortable wrangling crocodiles the size of most SUV's, so go figure.

I'm guessing by the majority of the comments here that most of you didn't actually see the show on NG.? I watched it and he definitely got bit, an average group of lacerations just under the left buttox.

I do agree though that he is absolutely ANNOYING! It wouldn't matter how smart he is and/or how much he knows about herps, I can't get past his yelling- about everything! Everyone else he works with is calm and relatively reserved, but he never just talks, he screams. The only reason I was able to sit through this episode of Brady's is because I knew he got bit at the end and I wanted to see how bad it really was...

Brady Barr is TERRIFIED of all snakes and screams like a little girl anytime one so much as threatens to bite him, no matter the size of the snake. I've been nailed in the face by a 14-foot Retic, not pleasant, but nothing in terms of pain compared to when I tore up my knee last August. Even the Copperhead bite I experienced when I was nine can't hold a candle to that!

As for the "hippo", that is a CAPYBARA, NOT a hippo! Anyone with a slight knowledge of geography should know that hippos are found in AFRICA, while Anacondas are found in SOUTH AMERICA. Capybaras, which are rodents, by the way, are a normal prey item for Green Anacondas. These videos show just how little the general populace knows about animals and how easy it is to dupe people.
