I haven't seen my scorpion in days

About a month ago I picked up my first scorpion. For the first few weeks, he would hide under his rock coming out at night, but wouldn't eat. Sometime last week, it actually burrowed under his rock and I haven't seen him since. I put a few crickets in his tank every other night, they're gone by the next morning, so I'm assuming he's still alive (unless those crickets are really good at hiding or can get out). Is this normal? Should I do anything, or leave him alone? Is there a way I can coax him to come out.......I'd like to see my scorpion from time-to-time. I'm new with scorpions, any advise helps

Thats normal. I wouldn't dig him out. He likes being down there and will come out eventually.

That's true.

I'm fairly new to the hobby, and learning a lot.
From what people tell me, DO NOT mess with scorpions if at all necessary. Only do it when taking him/her out for cleaning and stuff.

People told me to let me scorpion hunt at night by just letting a cricket or roach in the tank at night and let the scorpion come out and eat.
If you just leave food into the hide, then the scorpion has no need to leave the hide, so.. Yeah. :)

EDIT: Oh yeah, and scorpions and most other type of arthropods are mainly nocturnal. So, that's also another reason you won't see it in the afternoon. Try looking for it when the sun goes down. c: Mine, when it does come out, usually is out by when it's dusk and fairly dark.

Souns like you have a very special scorpion. Not like the ones we all keep that are super active and perform acrobatic moves all day long while juggling crickets into the air... I kid of course :p. That's normal for a scorpion to hide themselves especially emperors and het. species. If you want something a little more active and visble try a bark scorpion.
