they moan all night like promiscuos neighbors. haha.

actually, theyre one of the most docile I have. Very predictable behaviour, more so than my B.smithi, more patient than my rosea, hungry. its defintely my favourite T.

and did I mention they look amazing.

Anyone have one of these and if so, what is your experience with the temperment of this spider?
If its B. vagans you mean theyr absolutely awesome, at least in my case:p Never hides, will eat anytime-anything,mine is preety agresive and will strike anything that come near, and also flicks hair alot. They also grow preety fast:D

I've found them to be one of the least predictable Brachys, definitely not as reliably docile as say B. emila or B. smithi. Although you may end up with a sweet individual like the Vidaro above.

Thats pretty strange. I have seen posts where people say their vagans is really aggressive. Mine is THE MOST docile T I have. I touch my smithi on the back leg, and it scrambles away for a few inches. I touch my vagans' leg, doesnt even move. haha. Guess I got lucky.

HAH! It's not for nothing that I named my Red-Rump "DIABLO" - of my 5 Ts, he's the most pugnacious, most in-your-face, most "don't make me mad" of them all - he strikes at the forceps - he hangs on to the water dish like I'm siezing his first-born when I change the water - he's the only one that flicks hairs - he eats like a horse - he'll take on a cricket twice his size (and win) - he burrows like a jack-hammer and he'll pursue his prey into the substrate if that's what it takes to get at it - in brief, he's the baddest bad-boy of the pack, and I admire him from a distance. I envy those whose vagans are in any way remotely docile. I'm beginning to wonder if this IS a vagans. Are there exorcisms for tarantulas? I could use a referral ...

Walk around his cage three times while chanting 'leave him oh arachnodevil' if this doesn't work, it's time to get the holy water out. Just put some in his water dish...that should drive the devil right out of him.

Yea, and don't forget to leave a rosary around his enclosure to prevent demon-reinfestation. :p

I'd agree with the above posters...I have a penultimate male who used to be handleable, but now hates me, and an adult female who's as rowdy as a dead log. Beautiful and under-rated, in my opinion.

My vagans makes puppies cry all over the neighborhood 'cause she's so mean.
