So I got a Red leg Baboon at this expo and I can’t find to much Information on it. I have it in a 10 gallon terrestrial set up with 2 hides and plenty of substrate to burrow. It gave me a threat pose the day I got it. It went in its enclosure and I haven’t seen it since. It blocked the entrance of the burrow already in dirt.

Is there a specific question? That all sounds pretty typical for H. gigas - they're obligate burrowers (fossorial) and spend more time underground than above. It'll be a pet hole, but it's cool to watch them excavate tunnels and to see above ground once in a blue moon.

maybe its getting ready for a molt
🤔
When I got it from the expo it was in the smallest deli cup cramped up , was very defensive trying to move it but I did leave a cricket at the end of its burrow so maybe it eats and hides right away

This is why it's a good idea to research the spider's needs before you buy; know what you want in your collection.

The next thing I'd do is to peruse the bite reports. Tarantulas from the Old World (everywhere except the Americas) tend to be a little hotter than spiders from the New World (the Americas) and are best left to experienced keepers.

Be VERY careful when doing tank maintenance and substrate changes because you've definitely leveled up with this one. ;)

They are the ultimate burrowing fossorial. They have been found in burrows deeper than any other tarantula....depths of as much as 38 feet.....you literally cant give these ts too much substrate.....their burrowing abilities are as legendary as their swimming skills.

I did some research but it was a freebie at the expo , I couldn’t say no. I have it in a terrestrial set up with a lot of substrate so I’m excited to have my pet hole
